Fascinators are in for the Mother of the Bride – will Carole Middleton follow suit?

Leading occasion wear label and favourite of the mother of the bride Jacques Vert reports a significant increase in fascinator sales against the steady sale of hats in the run up to the royal wedding.
Figures released this week show that sales of fascinators to accompany full occasion wear outfits have risen sharply by over 30% this wedding season.
In fact, for the first time, Jacques Vert has sold more fascinators than the traditional choice, hats, perhaps because the fascinator has been trend-setter Kate Middleton’s headpiece of choice for her recent string of public engagements.
Fascinators are traditionally favoured by younger guests, and can be much more photo-friendly than a large hat. Carole Middleton, known for her love of fashion and her youthful appearance, may opt for the more photogenic of headpieces on a day when she is sure to be photographed more than ever. However the Queen and Duchess of Cornwall are known for choosing hats, a more formal option.
With just 10 days to go until the royal wedding, will Carole follow the fashion in a feathered fascinator or observe tradition and favour a hat?
