Have you ever wondered how Jacques Vert design our beautiful fascinators? We thought we’d let you in on our secret…
1. To make sure there is a fresh look every season, we take inspiration from a wide range of sources including iconic celebrities and from high profile occasions such as the recent Royal Wedding. We also look at the seasonal trends - for example large disc fascinators are currently on trend due to the “Kate Middleton effect” – Kate looks so good in them that we all want to try the fascinator look. Our designers then sit down, and translate the season’s looks into our unique Jacques Vert handwriting.

We also look for inspiration within our wedding outfit and occasionwear garment range to create the top to toe co-ordination Jacques Vert is known for. We look for opportunities to include flower trims on our fascinators to match key prints and link in detail from garments like beading or spots where we can.

The buyer visits the millinery supplier and selects trims and styles to be made up into the end garment, working closely with the millinery designer to deliver a detailed brief for fascinators to be developed.

The millinery designer puts together a selection of fascinators based on the buyers brief and sources new flowers and trimmings to keep the products looking fresh and unique.
Slim ladies can get away with most styles of winter coat including double breasted coats or padded coats. Try a range of styles to find what you’re happiest with.

In the Jacques Vert office, the fascinators are selected alongside the garment range and any necessary changes are made to ensure the end product ties in perfectly with the capsule look. 6. It takes many colour lab-dip trials to get the exact colour match you see in store and the natural products used on fascinators can prove challenging to get the exact colour needed. 7.
Many of the trimmings are sewn and assembled by hand. To ensure our fascinators reach the stores looking absolutely perfect, samples are sent before production and also from the production line to ensure everything made is to the highest quality standards. |
